ENERGY AUDIT AND RETROFIT PROGRAM

The City of Mesquite is pleased to announce a new energy efficiency program funded by an Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) from the U.S. Department of Energy under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). The Energy Audit and Retrofit Program (EARP) is designed to increase the energy efficiency of residential homes and lower energy consumption for low-income households.

A few of the energy improvement measures to be installed may include weather-stripping, caulking, insulation, and installation or replacement of storm doors and windows.

The entire process is coordinated on the resident's behalf so that the energy audit and improvement measures can be completed in a professional manner.
