Census 2000 data can be retrieved from several sources including the Census Bureau website; however, one of the easiest sites to use is that of the North Central Texas Council of Governments. In order to retrieve the information for the City of Mesquite, follow the directions below. (Once you are on the website, you can of course choose data for other cities, for county-level or census tract-level information, mapping, etc.)

1. Go to www.dfwinfo.com
2. Select Demographics and then Census 2000 Information from the drop down feature
3. Select City as the desired geography
4. Mark Create a Report
5. Select 2000 Census Demographic Profile (PDF) from the drop down feature (This includes general, social, economic and housing characteristics)
6. Select Mesquite from the drop down list of cities
7. Click Submit
