COMPASS is almost here! The City Of Mesquite PASsenger Shuttle will become a reality on March 12th. COMPASS, part of the City’s transit initiative, is a nonstop weekday commuter shuttle between Hanby Stadium in downtown Mesquite and the Lawnview Station on the Green Line located in East Dallas. This connection is made possible because of an agreement approved by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Board of Directors and City Council in September. Under the terms of the agreement, DART will operate seven round trips each morning from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and seven round trips each evening from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For just $7 a day citizens will be able to access and navigate the entire DART system, including buses and trains, conveniently from Hanby Stadium.
