    City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Proceeds from the event are used to fund innovative educational programs to benefit teachers and students in Mesquite ISD.

    Microsoft Excel class requires experience with Microsoft Word or attendance to the Microsoft Word class is a prerequisite to signing up for the course. Parks and Recreation - Athletics and Aquatics

  1. Girls Volleyball League Registration

    January 25 - February 21

    Registration for girls ages 7 to 14 Volleyball is from January 25 to February 21. Practices will begin on Tuesday, March 15 with games beginning on Monday, March 28. The fee is $65 per player.

  2. Little Rookies Golf Registration

    January 25 - February 20 @ Dunford Recreation Center

    Registration for Little Rookies Golf for children ages three to five begins January 25. The program will begin Saturday, February 20 at Dunford Recreation Center. Two sessions are available; 9 or 10 a.m. The fee is $35 per player and parent participation required.

  3. The First Tee Registration

    January 25 - February 13 @ Mesquite Golf Club

    Registration for The First Tee of Dallas begins January 25 for the instructional golf program located at The Mesquite Golf Club. The program runs on Saturdays from February 13 through March 19. Children ages 7 to 10 will practice from 10 – 11:30 a.m. and teens ages 11 – 17 will practice from 12 – 1:30 p.m. The fee is $40 per golfer, scholarships are available upon request.   4. Adult Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Registration

    Adult co-ed Sand Volleyball is from February 1 – 14 at any recreation center or at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office. The fee is $130 per team. Don't have a team, don't worry. Sign up as a free agents at www.TeamSideLine.com/mesquite. Games will begin on Sunday, February 28.

    Adult co-ed Soccer is from February 1 – 14 at any recreation center or at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office. The soccer fee is $400 per team. Don't have a team, don't worry. Sign up as a free agents at www.TeamSideLine.com/mesquite. Games will begin on Sunday, February 28.

  6. Youth Flag Football

    Registration for Youth Flag Football, children ages 6-14 is from February 1 - 28. Practices will begin the week of March 21. Games begin, Saturday, April 2. The fee is $55 per player. *A birth certificate required for registration

  8. Tennis Free Play Days

    Saturday, February 13 is Kids' Tennis Free Play Days at Westlake Sports Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The program is free and an instructional program designed to give children ages ten and under the opportunity to try tennis. Proper sized equipment is provided to help kids be more successful and ensure a great time.

Parks and Recreation - Camps

  1. All Day Recreation After School Program (RASP)

    February 15, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM @ Dunford and Rutherford Recreation Centers

    An all-day RASP is available at Dunford and Rutherford Recreation Centers Monday, February 15 from 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. The fee is $16 for the day. Registration is required by February 11 or a $10 late fee is added. Participants will need a water bottle, snack and lunch.
