The Mesquite Arts Council presents Yuri Anshelevich, cellist and Gabriel Sanchez on piano February 8, 2014 at 7:30p in a free concert.

Russian-born cello virtuoso, Yuri Anshelevich, won acceptance at the age of 14 at the famed Moscow State Conservatory. After graduation and study with Mstislav Rostropovich, Mr. Anshelevich won critical acclaim for concert and recital performances the world over. Currently serving as associate principal with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Anshelevich is often described as a performer of power, imagination and vitality.

The program features Brahmís Sonata for Cello and Piano in F Major; George Crumbís, Sonata for Solo Cello; Schumannís Funf Stucke im Volkston Sonata for Piano and Cello; and Debussyís Sonata for Cello and Piano. Mr. Anshelevich is joined by pianist Gabriel Sanchez.

FREE seating; no tickets are required for this recital.
