"Agnew Middle
School, National Junior Honor Society Makes Multiple
Donations to the Mesquite Animal Shelter"
On
October 30, 2003, Agnew
Middle School ,
National Junior Society presented a check in the amount
of $255 to Steve Killen, Manager of Health for the City
of Mesquite. With help from sponsors, Kathy Kirchner
and Richard Kozlovsky, NJHS members organized and worked
a car wash to earn the funds benefiting the Mesquite
Animal Shelter & Adoption Center. Presenting the
check were NJHS president, Katie Franco, and NJHS Vice
President, Jourdan Sanford. Other donations collected
by members not able to be present the day of the car
wash included blankets, towels, pet food, pet toys, and
miscellaneous items. The donations to the Mesquite Animal
Shelter will be used to help make homeless and abandoned
animals more comfortable in an unfamiliar place. Congratulations
to the Agnew National
Junior Honor Society on
a job well done! We’re very proud of our future
leaders!
