The City of Mesquite requires a $45.00 adoption fee for any animal in the shelter.  You must agree to have your new pet spayed or neutered and have a rabies shot administered by a licensed veterinarian.  The $45.00 fee includes a $10.00 rabies vaccination voucher and a $30.00 sterilization voucher that are accepted at face value by most local veterinarians.

If you reside in the City of Mesquite, and you provide proof that these requirements have been fulfilled, you will also receive a City registration tag for your adopted pet.
