History of Mesquite Senior Programs

The City of Mesquite has a long history of serving the senior adult population in the community and surrounding areas. Originally housed in a church building the operation has expanded to three facilities located throughout Mesquite that offer services and activities specifically for adults 50+. The congregate meal program has been offered at Evans Senior Center 33 years and Goodbar Senior Center for 25 years. The third facility Rutherford Senior Center does not offer the meal program. The senior centers offer a variety of leisure time activities, support services and educational opportunities for participants. The facilities are ADA accessible and meet local building codes and regulations.
