COMPASS Rider Alert
Effective October 2, 2013, the DART Board approved an extension of the City of Mesquite Passenger Shuttle (COMPASS) service through December 31, 2014. Download the COMPASS Rider Alert for full details.
About the Service COMPASS is part of the city’s transit initiative.
It is a nonstop weekday commuter shuttle between Hanby Stadium in downtown Mesquite and the Lawnview Station on the Green Line located in East Dallas. This connection is made possible because of an agreement approved by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Board of Directors and City Council. Under the terms of the agreement, DART operates seven round trips each morning from 5 – 9 a.m. and seven round trips each evening from 3 – 7 p.m. For only $7 a day citizens get access to the shuttle and can navigate the entire DART system, including all the buses and trains.
COMPASS is a great way for those who live in Mesquite but work elsewhere in the region to save money on gas and parking costs as well as reduce the stress of driving in traffic. COMPASS is also a fun way to connect with destination venues in the region, such as the Dallas Zoo, for one-day family trips and visitor tours.
