Microchipping now available!

Microchips are being offered on a walk-in basis during public Shelter hours.  The cost is $10 and includes the chip and initial registration.  Microchips are an easy way for your pet to be identified and returned home.

Mesquite Animal Services has collected several raccoons from areas along the South Mesquite Creek that have exhibited signs of Canine Distemper.  Residents are encouraged to report any raccoons showing unusual behaviors such as lethargy, mucus or bleeding from the nose, seizures, or walking in circles to Animal Services.  Do not attempt to approach these animals.  Pet owners are advised to ensure their pets are vaccinated against distemper.  More information can be found here.
